Should I keep my gym membership?

I live in an apartment complex that has a fitness room. The clubhouse at my apartment has three treadmillls, one elliptical machine, two old bicycle machines, and one of those 5-in-1 workout centers that you see at hotel fitness rooms, and some dumbbells. But there is WAY much more equipment at the gym that you don’t see at the apartment complex. The gym has an arc trainer, better treadmills, stairstepper machines, more types of elliptical machines, and free weights, and more weight machines. But the gym charges me about $60/month, and I have been a member for about a year. Do any of you live in an apartment complex with a fitness room but still go to the gym? If so, why do you continue to go to the gym. If not, why don’t you go to the gym where there is more equipment to use?

sounds to me that you already know how you feel…that you need the gym!!! I have a bench for lifting and a bunch of weights and do almost all my work at home, granted I cant do all the workouts I would like to do, but it gets me by. But the stuff you described wouldnt get it done for me I know that…

We have a gym at our apartments… a pool and a sauna. I haven’t been inside there for like 8 years… and I go to the Gym every day for which I pay more than you do. Perhaps you and I are just fools with money easily parted.
Anyway, I do enjoy the gym group classes. It motivates me to imagine myself working out with a room full of skimpily clad young ladies… but in reality.. I am too busy working out and keeping up with them to be the ******* I would be if I was sitting in their with a deck chair and a pina colada…. (which is the atmosphere generated by the apartment gym).
