Biking
The Mongoose Teocali Comp is a ruggedly designed full suspension bike made to handle the most challenging trails.
A full suspension bike is made to handle various terrains, such as cross country, trail riding and road riding. A full suspension bike gives a more comfortable ride than a non-suspension bike, and when on rough terrain, the suspension also allows the wheels to remain in contact with the surface to improve control and performance. Power can also be continuously applied since the wheels are usually in contact with the ground at all times, improving efficiency.
The hydroformed aluminum frame of this Mongoose Teocali Comp mountain bike is designed with a full 145 mm of rear travel to soak up the largest of obstacles without flinching. This is controlled by a Rock Shox Ario air spring with an adjustable rebound.
The front suspension is equally proficient, and allows up to 130 mm of travel using a Rock Shox Tora, also with an adjustable rebound.
To get the rider’s power to the ground, a front FSA Alpha Drive 22/32/44T ISIS chainwheel is used in combination with a rear SRAM setup with 9 speeds ranging from 11 to 34 teeth. This setup offers a versatile gear range for most conditions from very steep climbs thanks to the extra large 34 tooth granny gear, to fast descents, while providing fast, clean shifts.
The rims used are Alex TD24’s and come mounted with Kenda Excavator tires, which provides for versatile grip for conditions ranging from paved road to mud and loose dirt.
When the time comes to stop, the task is handled by Tektro Auriga Comp hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors front and back. These provide excellent stopping power with solid reliability.
To fit all riders, the Mongoose Teocali Comp is available in four different frame sizes, all finished in an eye catching brown and orange color scheme.
